Have you ever bought something in an online store? If yes, then I’m sure you have encountered of the term, “Mode of Payment”.

I have been buying in different online stores for years now. It all started in Ebay.com and then I started to discover awesome stores in Multiply and Facebook. I’ve learned about different online boutique as well. It was really a life changing discovery.

What is Mode of Payment?

So, let’s talk about this. What do you mean by “Mode of Payment”?

The List of my Favorite Modes of Payment When Buying Online

When you on an online store, one of the things you may ask yourself is, “How could I pay this?” Well, that is basically what this is about. It is a list of ways of how you can pay your order on that specific online shop.

Most of the time, the seller usually decides this thing based on what is convenient for him. Take for example if he doesn’t have a bank account yet because of several reasons or that specific remittance center is on the other barrio.

But naturally, most sellers consider what their buyers would prefer. Bank accounts for example are really handy because it offers no additional charges on the part of the buyer.

The ways offered varies however. To start with, here’s my list. Take note that this is purely based on my experience as a buyer.

My List of Favorite Modes of Payment

Paypal

That which started it all. Paypal was the first mean I used when I bought an accessory in Ebay. It was really convenient because I just have to do a few clicks and on it goes. It was also really easy to register. I got my credits here from various online works and prizes when I started blogging and it was all worth it.

Bank Deposits

What else is more convenient to buyers like me? Depositing on their bank account offers no charge unlike in different remittance centers. My favorite of these are Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI) because of their very convenient mobile banking. However, I recommend Banco de Oro (BDO) because I’ve seen a lot of BDO branches far and wide across the metro.

Remittance Center

Most banks are not open during weekends. When you really need to pay that order, then we have many remittance centers available in our country.

When it comes to rates, I recommend Palawan Pawnshop. They offer the lowest rates I have ever seen. Check their rates here.

Although we can’t miss some of the most famous remittance centers here in the Philippines—Cebuana Lhuillier and Western Union. LBC also offers this service.

Others

I know some other modes of payment although I have never experience using them before.

GCash and Smart Money are just some of the most popular methods online shoppers used but I never get to try them so I can say very little. Although I know for sure that they are convenient because you just have to use your mobile when using them and atleast to be a Globe and Smart user respectively.

Most of the online stores I browse are in Facebook and most sellers do not recommend credit cards. However, if you own one, this may be the most expedient method you can get.

There you have it. That’s my list of my favorite ways of paying my orders online. Happy shopping!

Paypal always tops my list when it comes to mode of payment. Like, I always have to check first the online shop's mode of payment if there willing to accept payment via paypal. I remember one of the online shops on facebook. They say I am the first customer who paid via paypal to them ♥
