Best Film Series You Have to Watch
Watching films has been my hobby when started attending college. It was what I was doing during free time, boring time, and relaxing hours. You can probably say watching movies has been part of my daily college routine. Based on my experience, and incredible amount of film I have watched, I listed here some best film series you have to watch.

Follow the quests of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin McNally), Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), Angelica (Penélope Cruz), Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Philip Swift (Sam Claflin) and the mermaid Syrena (Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey) as they try to uncover more mysteries of the pirate world. (more..)
What I Like: sword-fighting, mythical creatures like the Krakken, uncovering secrets, adventures, ship riding experience, unexpected twists and Johnny Depp
What I Hate: none, really!
Last Say: This film series is really great. Plus the films which make the series can stand alone, and I didn’t anticipate that there would be another movie after that (although I secretly hope).
The Films behind the Pirates Of The Carribean:
- Pirates of the Carribean : The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
- Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
- Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End (2007)
- Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides (2011)
- Pirates of the Caribbean 5 (on the making)

The Harry Potter film is about the adventures of the boy who lived, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), despite of the attempt of the greatest evil sorcerer Lord Voldemort to kill him. Along with his best friends, Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), they will go on a quest 0to prevent Lord Voldemort from returning to spread darkness in the hearts of the witches and wizards.
What I Like: Magic. Witches and Wizards. The story. Wands. The magical world. Animagus. Spells. Severus Snape. The last film (HP and the Deathly Hallows) was split into two films. It was based on a book.
What I Hate: BELLATRIX (for killing one of my favourite characters, Sirius Black). I already read the book which it was based to.
Last Say: I really love how they split the last film into two. It made the last few films more anticipated by people. I have read the book so I know what to expect buy I am perfectly fine with it because I love reading. It’s just that I have to wait for many years to watch the whole series.
The Films Behind Harry Potter Series:
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010)
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011)

The story follows the hobbit Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) on his mission to destroy the One Ring, which will result to destruction of its maker, Dark Lord Sauron. Along with the Fellowship of the Ring, Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin), Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Boromir (Sean Bean), Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Peregrin "Pippin" Took (Billy Boyd), they will set the most challenging journey that no creature from the Middle Earth have ever done before.
What I Like: Goblins, Hobbits, Horseman, name any creature and it will be probably on the story. Legolas
What I Hate: I have never read the book.
Last Say: This film series is actually one of those films that would last for almost 3 hours. If you watched these on the big screen, I would say your money is worth it.
The Films Behind Lord of the Rings:
- Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
- Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
- Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
- The Terminator series
- The Matrix series
- Star Wars Series
- Have you watched these film series? What do you think about them?
- What are the best film series in your list?
- Would you recommend any film series you know?

ReplyI love LOTR, Pirates and HP. I've watched all of these series and yes, I agree that other people should watch these as well.
ReplyI have seen all of the Lord of the Rings movies. I prefer the books even though they are really long.
ReplyI don't really like watching movies though, and I'm not a Harry Potter fan. I've only seen the first movie. As for Pirates of the Caribbean, it wasn't really my thing. Ten minute fight scenes didn't really appeal to me. xP
That is so cool. Welcome 'mate in the movie world.
ReplyI've watched all of the series that you mentioned and loved all of them. Though, I liked the books a million times better than the Harry Potter movies. I liked the movies because it helps bring it in front of your eyes, but the books are still better. As the same with LOTR. I loved the movies and thought they did a really good job with portraying the books, but the books are still better. I'd suggest reading them if you haven't. :)
